DPU Quality Commission Holds Its Regular Fall Semester Meeting


The Regular Fall Semester Meeting of the Kütahya Dumlupınar University Quality Commission is held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in the Senate Hall. The meeting begins with the opening speech of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak, followed by an evaluation of quality processes presented by our Vice-Rector responsible for quality, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Arif Özgür. Afterwards, Quality Coordinator Dr. Figen Karaferye delivers a detailed presentation in line with the agenda items.
The meeting addresses the activities carried out during the Spring–Fall semesters. In this context, BIDR (Internal Evaluation Report in Units) trainings and meetings, quality-related needs analyses, peer-sharing activities among units, the animation film titled “What Does Quality Mean at DPU?” prepared with contributions from the Faculty of Fine Arts, PER (Peer Evaluation in Units) pilot and main implementations, the updated quality directive, PDCA-based action plans, Bologna Information Package work, satisfaction and expectation surveys, and the Quality Handbook are highlighted. Additionally, the preparation of the university’s policy documents in alignment with THEQC headings, the development of performance and indicator reports, and the planning of the Digital Transformation and Quality Management Systems Workshop to be held online on October 8 are evaluated during the meeting.
The workflow of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) process is reviewed, and it is emphasized that all units must strengthen their reports with evidence. To enhance student participation, the establishment of a “Quality Ambassadors Student Community,” the inclusion of student representatives in management meetings, and the visibility of student contributions are decided. It is also stated that academic and administrative units must relate their activities and operations to the Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting concludes with good wishes.
