A Quality Commission Meeting was held at our university with the participation of the quality sub-commission members in order to review the institution’s quality approach and development strategies. The meeting was chaired by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak.

During the meeting, the university’s ongoing quality activities were examined in detail in line with the guidance of the Vice-Rector. In the presentation delivered by Quality Coordinator Dr. Figen Karaferye, the Institutional Internal Evaluation Report (KİDR) and the studies prepared by the sub-commissions were reviewed. The presentation highlighted the assignments carried out in March, the ongoing activities, and the need to strengthen the Unit-Based Internal Evaluation Reports (BIDR).

Other agenda items included the evaluation of efforts to enhance staff and student awareness within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), the preliminary preparation phase of the IAP calendar, and the reassessment of the BIDRs.

The meeting also included discussions around the guiding question, “Where do we stand, and what strategic steps do we need?” addressing the strengths and areas for improvement identified through the YÖKAK external evaluation experience. The session, supported by participants’ questions and contributions, served as an important platform for clarifying the university’s quality management vision.

At the end of the meeting, the collection of participants’ opinions and suggestions provided valuable input for identifying the strategic steps to be taken in the future. The university administration aims to further strengthen its quality and accreditation efforts in light of the feedback received.
