Prof. Dr. Remzi Gören stated, “Works on boron and qualifications required for the students’ employment should be given more importance. In addition, I see that Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry prioritized the issue of tourism. This priority is among the priorities of Kütahya Dumlupınar University. If we look at the issues discussed at the previous meeting and how many of the requests have been made, we can order the requests as follows:  Teknokent (Technocity) was demanded and it is about to be completed now. Occasional meetings were demanded and we meet at certain times.  Detailed works on tile were asked and we organized a contest and festival. A conservatory asked to be built but our request was not approved although we wanted to do this. We are shopping from local tradesmen as possible as they asked for support. To make Kütahya  and the university closer, we have done a European Union project about individuals over the age of 50 and now these people are studying at our university.”

“Of course, we want to do more as a university, but we need support for it, said Rector Prof. Dr. Remzi Gören and he continued: “Students should be given more traineeship opportunities to raise more experienced students. They should be given the opportunity to work part time, but working part time should not be in the form of exploitation. When we get together at the meetings, we have to work more on practice. We, as an educational institution, are willing to work with the region and contribute to the region, but our facilities are limited. I think we can all come together and work more efficiently and extensively.”

Prof. Dr. Remzi Gören stated, “We are creating a curriculum that will be applied at work for the students at their 8th semester and we will activate it in 2018. We also need the support of companies for qualified training. We want to know which companies want students and how they want to choose these students.”

The meeting ended with the wishes of the participants following mutual consultations on ideas.
