T.C. KÜTAHYA DUMLUPINAR ÜNİVERSİTESİ
The Quality Coordinatorship visited the stand of the Quality Volunteers Community at the event held on 05.03.2024 at the Evliya Çelebi Campus of our university. The stand was established to increase the quality awareness of students, raise awareness about quality management and contribute to the overall quality processes of the university. Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hilmi Yurdakul and Quality Coordinatorship Branch Manager Nevin Kalfa examined the stand in detail and received information about the projects carried out by the students. The stand featured posters, brochures and presentations prepared by students on different quality-related topics. In addition, posters featuring students' research on quality also attracted attention. Prof. Dr. Hilmi Yurdakul, Quality Coordinator, said: "It is extremely important for us to see closely the work of our students under the umbrella of the Quality Volunteers Community. The interest and contributions of our students in quality contribute greatly to the development of the quality culture of our university. Supporting and encouraging such initiatives allows us to raise the quality standards of our institution even higher." Huriye Burçin Koç, President of the Quality Volunteers Community, expressed her appreciation for the visit and said, "We are working to spread quality awareness among young generations. The Quality Coordinatorship's visit to our booth and the support and interest it gave us was a great source of motivation for us. We will continue to increase our contributions to quality in the future." At the end of the visit, the Quality Coordinatorship team wished the members of the Quality Volunteers Community success and left the stand.
As an important step towards the goal of applying to the Institutional Accreditation Program, the Quality Coordinatorship of our University visited the Institute of Graduate Studies on 27.02.2024. Within the scope of the visit, the compliance of the institute's education and management processes with quality standards was evaluated. Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hilmi Yurdakul, Deputy Quality Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Onur Koşar and Quality Coordinator Branch Manager Nevin Kalfa met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eray Acar, Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Volkan Çetinkaya, Deputy Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies, and Hamza Öztürk, Secretary of the Institute of Graduate Studies to have a detailed discussion on the academic programs, student support services and academic staff performance of the institute. During this evaluation process, the institute's compliance with existing quality policies and national/international accreditation standards was reviewed. During the visit, the participants agreed that quality processes should be carried out with mutual feedback. It was emphasized that this approach will strengthen the institute's commitment to quality standards and support continuous improvement efforts. We declare that the cooperation between the Quality Coordinatorship and the Institute of Graduate Studies will continue to strengthen around these basic principles and we thank the Institute of Graduate Studies Management for their interest.
