Within the scope of the preparation process for the 2025 Institutional Internal Evaluation Report (IIER) at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, a comprehensive meeting is held with the participation of the senior administration, the Quality Coordination Office, and the Sub-Commissions responsible for report preparation.

In the opening speech of the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak emphasizes that the IIER is not merely a reporting activity, but a strategic document reflecting the university’s institutional memory, quality culture, and commitment to development. He also highlights that systematicity, continuity, and improvement capacity stand out particularly within the scope of the Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Institutional Accreditation Program and external evaluation processes. During the opening session, the preparation schedule for IIER 2025 is also shared.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Arif Özgür states in his speech that the IIER to be prepared is not only an evaluation document for the current year, but will also serve as a fundamental reference source in the university’s future evaluation processes. He further notes that, following the completion of the report, the senior administration and quality sub-commissions will come together again to evaluate the university’s strengths and areas open to improvement.

In the continuation of the meeting, Quality Coordinator Assistant Professor Figen Karaferye provides information regarding the preparation schedule and the operation of the process. Karaferye emphasizes the importance of each sub-commission clarifying task distributions based on criteria and sub-criteria, establishing regular meeting plans, and conducting interim evaluations as work packages are completed. She also states that the alignment between text, evidence, criteria, and maturity levels should be evaluated meticulously both during the process and at the final review stage in order to ensure the effectiveness of the process.

In the second part of the meeting, the Sub-Commissions hold their own team meetings under the leadership of the responsible Deputy Quality Coordinators. Within this scope:

• task distributions based on criteria and sub-criteria are clarified,
• sub-working groups and internal scheduling are planned,
• internal control and consistency evaluation processes to be conducted after the completion of work packages are determined, and
• critical issues to be considered in line with the THEQC IIER Guide are discussed.

Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Arif Özgür also briefly attend the team meetings of the sub-commissions and follow the studies on-site.
