First Term Unit Visitations Reach Completion Under Integrated Quality Management System Monitoring and Enhancement Scope

Kütahya Dumlupınar University  continues its strategic commitment to institutional excellence through the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) monitoring and improvement framework. Within this scope, the university administration completes the first phase of its comprehensive academic unit visitation program to enhance quality assurance mechanisms and reinforce the culture of continuous improvement.

The visitation delegation, led by Rector Prof. Süleyman Kızıltoprak along with Vice Rector Prof. Mustafa Arif Özgür and Quality Coordinator Dr. Figen Karaferye, conducts rigorous evaluations across various academic departments. These sessions primarily focus on 2026 operational planning, department-specific objectives, and general assessments within the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) criteria. Furthermore, the administration systematically gathers feedback regarding unit expectations and institutional requirements to ensure a participatory management approach.

During these technical evaluations, the committee addresses improvement processes for areas identified as open to development following the Institutional Accreditation Program assessment. The delegation examines current quality practices on-site, facilitating a mutual exchange of ideas concerning institutional strengths and opportunities for enhancement. A significant portion of the discourse involves the optimization of planning, monitoring, and evaluation mechanisms integrated into the IQMS platform. Additionally, the sessions include scholarly discussions on the integration of artificial intelligence within the higher education landscape.

Following the initial visits conducted in April, the program concludes with the final sessions in May 2026. The latest schedule includes meetings at Altıntaş and Dumlupınar Vocational Schools on May 4, followed by Emet and Hisarcık Vocational Schools on May 5. This structured visitation program serves as a cornerstone for evidence-based institutional development, ensuring that feedback-driven cycles sustain the university's quality-oriented evolution.
