Quality Colleague Sharing Event Is Held at Kütahya Dumlupınar University

The Quality Peer Sharing Event, organized by the Quality Coordination Office of Kütahya Dumlupınar University with the aim of disseminating the culture of quality throughout the university, sharing examples of good practices, strengthening the understanding of continuous improvement, and increasing institutional awareness regarding accreditation processes, is held on 21 April 2026 at the Germiyanoğlu Yakup Bey Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences with both in-person and online participation.

The opening speech of the program is delivered by Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak. In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak emphasizes the importance of program accreditation in terms of quality assurance in higher education. He thanks all stakeholders who contribute to the quality studies carried out at the university, including Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Arif Özgür, who is responsible for quality processes, Quality Coordinator Assistant Professor Figen Karaferye, the Quality Coordination Office team, accredited departments, and all academic and administrative staff members and students involved in the processes.

The event is moderated by Quality Coordinator Assistant Professor Figen Karaferye. Within the scope of the program, the experiences of accredited departments are shared, and it is aimed to transfer the achievements obtained to other units and support institutional learning.

The presentation of the Department of Physics is delivered by the Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Huriye Senem Aydoğdu. The presentation addresses the planning, self-evaluation, evidence preparation, and continuous improvement dimensions of the FEDEK accreditation process.

The presentation of the Department of Mathematics is delivered by Vice Head of Department Associate Professor İlkem Turhan Çetinkaya. Information is provided regarding program outcomes, course learning outcomes, stakeholder contributions, survey processes, and improvement-oriented self-evaluation studies.

The presentation of the Department of Chemistry is delivered by Research Assistant Gülcan Üner. The department’s accreditation journey, continuous improvement approach, and evidence-based quality practices are shared with the participants.

At the end of the event, participants’ questions are answered, a feedback survey is conducted, and it is stated that the results obtained will be used in future planning and improvement studies. It is also emphasized that the Quality Peer Sharing Events, which are regularly organized, will continue to contribute to the development of the quality assurance system and the institutionalization of quality culture at Kütahya Dumlupınar University.
